How It Works

Trinnect recognises that only end to end encryption with ‘https’ is not enough for data security. Multiple levels of security provisions to protect patient and doctor information is provided in the Trinnect workflow.  Details of how to use Trinnect is described below.

i) Trinnect recognises three types of entities: Doctorspatients and health workers. However, only ‘doctors‘ and ‘health workers‘ can register to the system. A patient is enrolled by either a doctor or a health Worker. A patient may also register as a HW and then enroll.
ii) Any device, pc, laptop, mobile phone or tablet can be used for accessing Trinnect services.  Preferred operating systems are Windows and Chrome
iii) For security, users cannot themselves register. Only the Admin registers a user after personally verifying the identity and against a personal email address.
iv) Registration: The admin registers a user (doctor or a HW) and sends a registration link to the email address. The user completes registration by just touching the registration link. Note that, the registration link contains userid, but no password.
iii) Login: For logging in for the first time, use reset password feature and use a new password. The password should have at least 10 characters and at least: one CAPITAL, one small letter, one number (0-9) and one symbol (# &, %).  After the initial procedures, login can be done from https://trinnect.in/ website.
v) For security, please do not save the password in your device.
iv) 2 factor authentication (2FA): the login procedure has google 2FA implemented to mitigate phishing. 2FA can be skipped for the time being (will be mandetory in the future).
v) After login, from the drop down menu (on the right corner, if a mobile device is used) choose ‘patients‘.  Here two operations are possible. ‘search‘ existing patients, and ‘add new patients‘.
vii) Add new patients: to enroll a new patient to the Trinnect database, the patient information form (PIF) is filled This form includes patients general information like, address, mobile number, email address, and a few health information like height, weight, smoking status, blood glucose level blood pressure etc. At the end of the form, please include history and major complaints.  Alternatively, use a separate rext box for uploading sickness history.
viii) Important: only one PIF should be filled for each patient.
ix) After the PIF is saved, upload all major and recent test reports, prescriptions, discharge summary etc. one by one and save. Also add a face photograph and any other photograph you deem important. File types supported for uploading are: text, jpeg, .pdf.  Photographs uploaded to Trinnect are not compressed further.
viii) Inform the Admin when all documents are submitted and saved.
ix) The concerned specialist will have a look and fix a time for video consultation. He may ask for further investigations before or after the consultation.
x) Prescription: When the specialist is satisfied, she/ he will write a prescription or recommendation with details of diagnosis or provisional diagnosis.
x) Important: records and information saved in the Trinnect patient database cannot be deleted. All records will be saved unless an explicit request is done by the patient or his affiliated caregivers to close the patient’s account.
xi) Search: is used by a doctor or a health worker to search for a specific patient, either by the first name or surname
xii) A HW can find particulars of only those patients enrolled by him. However, a Trinnect enrolled doctor has the permission to find and look at any patient enrolled to the database.
xi) Logout: A user (doctor or HW) is expected to logout from the system after use. Logging out reduces the risk of unwanted attacks to the database.
